My Philosophy on Education
"Love challenges, Be intrigued my mistakes, Enjoy effort, and Keep on learning."
- Carol Dweck
My students know within the first days of school that I expect them to succeed and do their best. I have this expectation for all of my students, regardless of their background or circumstances. These are experiences which make us unique, and I teach my students to embrace those differences and even celebrate them. I also expect excellence from my colleagues and the parents of my students. It is very important to collaborate with both parents and peers to ensure that there is an abundance of resources available for teachers, parents, and most importantly the students. I also know that one of the most important skills an educator can have is patience. I know that not all of my students learn at the same pace, and may require differentiated, persistent instruction to be successful.
